About the company

Air Fiordland was formed in Te Anau in 1984 to offer visitors the opportunity to view the scenic wonders of Fiordland and Milford Sound from the air. We operate from Queenstown, Lake Te Anau and Milford Sound, and continue to upgrade our operations and service to meet the ever changing needs of visitors to this extraordinary region.

We operate Cessna single engine aircraft and Britten Norman Islander twin engine aircraft, ensuring each passenger has a window seat. To ensure passengers enjoy a superb scenic flight, we operate only in good flying conditions.

We are a certified air transport operator under the Civil Aviation Act 1990. (CAA Approved Operator #74574 ). Our experienced pilots are licensed under the Civil Aviation rules and have undergone extensive additional training in Mountain Flying.
